Just as any muscles in your body are developed, your soles, foot muscles, ligaments, and tendons will become stronger if you use them more often without support. Believe it or not, your muscles could atrophy if you do not give them enough “exercise” by walking without shoes on.

It has been said that there is no such thing as a natural tenderfoot. We actually alter the strength that nature intended by walking in shoes too often. But this is a problem that can fortunately, can be easily corrected.
